I.  Tujuan Pembelajaran

At the end of the lesson, students are able to explain a simple manual both oral and written form

II. Materi Ajar

a.     Giving Instruction

-   Use the transitional markers ; first/ firstly , second/ secondly, third, next/ after that/ then, finally/ the last

-   Use Imperative

-   Arrange the instruction in chronological order; start from the very first step to the last one

-   Give additional information when it’s necessary

IV. Langkah – Langkah Kegiatan Pembelajaran

a.     Kegiatan Awal

-       To arouse the students’ interest, Teacher shows a picture of public telephone and asks the students ideas about it.

-       To direct the students to the lesson, Teacher asks the students how to make a phone call.

-       T conveys the lesson objective.

b.     Kegiatan Inti

1.     Teacher presents the lesson

2.     Students do the skill practices

-   Students listen to the recording about how to operate a computer and put the correct number on the picture. (Act.1)

-   Students listen to another recording about a DVD manual and complete the table given. (Act.2)

-   Students explain the manual in Act.1 by using their own words (Act.3)

-   Students read a passage of a washing machine manual and answer the questions related to it. (Act.4)

-   Students write a manual based on the given clues. (Act.5)

c.     Penutup

-   Teacher guides the students to conclude the lesson they have learned

-   Teacher asks some questions to check the students’ understanding about the lesson

-   Teacher gives homework to the students to find a manual and explain it in the next meeting.
